Nashville weather storms disrupt power supply with thousands affected across Middle Tennessee

Severe Nashville weather has left thousands of people without power after storms swept across Middle Tennessee overnight.

According to utility providers, outages were reported late Monday into Tuesday morning as strong weather moved through the region.

Nashville Electric Service reported more than 4,500 customers without electricity as of 1:40 AM Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Middle Tennessee Electric said more than 1,100 customers were also affected at the same time.

The outages follow intense storms that brought heavy rain and strong winds, disrupting power infrastructure in several areas.

Crews are expected to assess the damage and begin restoration work, although timelines for full recovery have not yet been confirmed.

Residents are being advised to remain cautious, particularly in areas where power lines may be down.
