A former CIA officer has reflected on Kristi Noem’s husband Bryon Noem alleged activities, saying these could have made her vulnerable to blackmail by foreign intelligence services.

The Fox News Digital quoted former CIA officer Marc Polymeropoulos as saying, "If a media organization can find this out, you can assume with a high degree of confidence that a hostile intelligence service knows this as well."

“Damaging information like this can be a tantalizing lead for a hostile intelligence service,” Polymeropoulos added.

“They approach the person and say, if you work with us we won't expose this, and if you don't, we will. That's espionage 101.”

The former intelligence official’s remarks came after Kristi’s representative told a publication, "Ms. Noem is devastated. The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at the time."

Meanwhile, the GB News quoted another current official saying: "I can vouch for the blackmail claim. This would have been a disqualification for national security eligibility for anyone else whose spouse was hiding this".

Kristi and Bryon Noem met in high school, married in 1992, and share daughters Kassidy, and Kennedy and a son Booker.

Meanwhile, Noem supported his wife last month by sitting dutifully behind her at a congressional hearing scrutinizing her aggressive immigration enforcement tactics.
