Matthew Lillard has finally opened up about his relationship with several of his Scream co-stars.
In a talk with PEOPLE magazine before the release of Scream 7, Lillard reflected on his bond with many of his co-stars, as the original slasher-horror film had an ensemble cast, including Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Drew Barrymore, Courteney Cox, Skeet Ulrich, and others.
As he shed light on the enduring legacy of the franchise, the interviewer asked about his relationship with the Scream cast, to which he remarked, “They’re peak for me.”
The 56-year-old American actor and director revealed, “I love them. I mean, I see Skeet [Ulrich] all the time. I spend more time with him on the road than I spend with my wife, and he's become a brother to me.”
“We do conventions a lot. We're together all the time through thick and through thin, and he's really become a dear friend of mine,” Lillard shared.
Other than Ulrich, Lillard holds high regards for Campbell and calls her “certainly an impactful person” in his life.
The Scooby-Doo star said, “We've maintained our friendship all these years later, which is lovely. And Jamie [Kennedy], I see Jamie a lot too.”
It is worth mentioning that Matthew Lillard is once again playing the role of Stu Macher in Scream 7, which is currently in theatres.
