In a true gothic fashion, Winona Ryder has landed a role in Netflix mega-hit series Wednesday, reuniting with her long-time collaborator Tim Burton.
"I'm so excited to be back for Season 3, and it’s great to be reunited with all of the original cast," the director shares. "The addition of some dear friends and past collaborators of mine… makes this season extra special. I feel very lucky."
Though the details about her character are scant, it's said it will be a guest-starring role. However, her entry in the show will also mark a reunion with Jenna Ortega. Both actresses worked on the Beetlejuice sequel.
In addition, Eva Green was recently also cast for season three, who will portray Morticia Addams’ mysterious sister, Ophelia.
Apart from her, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, Kennedy Moyer, and Chris Sarandon also came on board.
Meanwhile, details about the release date for season three of the show, which first hit Netflix in November 2022 and received breakout success, are yet to be released.
Similarly, the series' season two registered equally strong viewership, making it one of the most watched seasons on Netflix.
