For those unversed, TMZ received a ransom note on Tuesday morning demanding a massive Bitcoin payment for the release of the Today show host's mom.

However, the publication didn’t reveal the exact amount of Bitcoin demanded.

It is pertinent to mention that Savannah's mom has been missing since Sunday, February 1.

The next day, a spokesperson for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department told CBS News that Nancy was possibly abducted from her Arizona home while she was sleeping.

"I believe she was abducted, yes,” a spokesperson said. "She didn't walk from there. She didn't go willingly.”

“At this point, investigators believe she was taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night. Taken against her will includes possible kidnapping or abduction,” added a representative.
