Prince William and Kate Middleton’s move to Forest Lodge has seemingly disrupted the entire ecosystem and daily behavior of the residents.
Its even come to a point where those wanting to buy from a Christmas tree shop that is close to this ‘forever home’ have to make detours galore.
According to the Daily Mail the popular shop itself, called the Christmas Tree Shop, opened Thursday and sits on the land right next to the royals’ new home, however there are strict guidelines to be adhered for anyone wanting to get close to it.
“Access routes have been limited to prevent people from driving right in front of the royal eight-bedroom home, which the family relocated to from nearby Adelaide Cottage,” the source explained. “Cars now face being diverted around a new circular route – more than a mile detour in all.”
There are also traffic cones that have been strategically placed around the area to ensure strict adherence to these new rules, however, “the temporary road layout seems to have brought chaos,” the outlet warns.
One local resident has even gone as far as to witness many a near misses and admits, “I have already seen a few near misses where people have driven the wrong side of the cones.”
Two royal officers have also been stationed to ensure compliance further and to stop any intruders attempting to breach the Wales’ security.
