NOWSHERA: Prime Minister’s Coordinator Ikhtiar Wali Khan on Saturday released a video of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi related to the events of May 9 and appealed to the people to watch it carefully.

Speaking at a press conference at his residence, Ikhtiar Wali said that the words heard in the viral video clearly point toward attacks on military and security installations and actions against the state.

In the video, he said that CM Sohail Afridi could clearly be seen saying, “We have reached the Corps Commander’s House, and the time for decision has come.”

The PM’s coordinator said that slogans circulating on social media such as “I will die for Imran’s love” are, in reality, meant to harm state institutions. He warned that such rhetoric was dangerous and could lead to actions against national institutions.

He added that the video contained statements inciting violence, including calls for firing shots, spilling blood and damaging the state. He questioned, “If attacking military installations, burning army uniforms, storming the Corps Commander’s House, setting Radio Pakistan on fire, or targeting Rangers personnel are not acts of terrorism, then what is?”

He urged that all such actions be declared terrorism and dealt with strictly under the law and constitution.

Ikhtiar Wali said that the so-called “love for Imran”* agenda promoted by some political circles has resulted in the neglect of public development work, schools, colleges, roads, universities, and hospitals have all been ignored.
