A representational image showing girls attending a class at a school in Lahore. — AFP/FileABBOTTABAD: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Abbottabad on Saturday announced the results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Annual Examinations 2025, with female students clinching the overall top three positions.
Girls dominated the Pre-Medical group, while boys captured the top two slots in the Pre-Engineering group.
A total of 42,357 candidates appeared, out of which 36,550 were declared successful, showing an overall pass percentage of 87.15 percent.
In the overall and Pre-Medical group, Malail Khan of Peace Group of Colleges, Haripur, secured first position with 1,173 marks. Tooba Jamal of Peace College, Mansehra, stood second with 1,168 marks, while Rayyan Ahmed of Tameer-e-Wattan College, Abbottabad, obtained third place with 1,162 marks.
In the Pre-Engineering group, Malik Muhammad Zakaullah of TW College, Mansehra, clinched the top spot with 1,160 marks, followed by his college fellow Talha Nawaz with 1,156 marks. The third position was taken by Tayyaba Bashir of TW Girls College, Abbottabad, with 1,150 marks.
In the Computer Science & General Science group, Amna Ejaz of TW Girls College, Abbottabad, secured first position with 1,148 marks, while Maham Fatima of the same institution got second with 1,137 marks. The third spot was jointly shared by Abdul Muqeet of Progressive College, Abbottabad, and Kaneez Ayesha of TW Girls College, Abbottabad, both scoring 1,136 marks.
In the Humanities group, Ayesha Naheem of GGHS Ghari Habibullah, Mansehra, secured first place with 1,113 marks. Zainab Noor of GGHSC Chapra, Haripur, stood second with 1,069 marks, while Zoha Shahzadi of Chapra School, Haripur, obtained third position.
KP Assembly Speake Babar Saleem Swati distributed shields and trophies among the position holders. Commissioner, Hazara Division, Syed Fayaz Ali Shah, who also holds additional charge as Chairman BISE Abbottabad, was present on the occasion.
