Caine played the role of Aurthr Tressler, an insurance magnate, who is robbed by The Four Horseman through magic.

He also appeared in the 2016 sequel of the popular crime thriller film series. But the actor is not a part of the third movie as he announced his retirement in 2023.

However, he signed up for a project titled The Last Witch Hunter 2 with Vin Diesel following his retirement which is due to release next year.

This is why Fleischer is hopeful that the legend might reverse his decision to quit acting and return for the next sequel.

In a statement, the Zombieland director added, "I think that [Caine reversing his retirement plan] was only revealed after we were done shooting [Now You See Me: Now You Don't].”

"But if we’re lucky enough to make another Now You See Me, we will definitely give him a call”, he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is now successfully running in theatres globally. It has turned out to be the number one movie worldwide.
