Shakira is celebrating a special full-circle moment with her two sons, Milan and Sasha, and she couldn’t be more delighted to share the experience with fans.
While walking the red carpet at the Zootopia 2 premiere on Nov. 13, the singer revealed a sweet behind-the-scenes detail, her boys not only appear in the film, they recorded their parts right alongside her.
The 48-year-old star, who returns as Gazelle in the Disney sequel, lit up while talking about 12-year-old Milan and 10-year-old Sasha’s roles.
“Oh my God, I drool over them. They know that. They were not shy at all,” she said, adding that both boys were surprisingly natural in the booth.
She explained that they “were very spontaneous, and it was very easy to record their lines,” something that made the moment even more meaningful for the proud mom.
Shakira shared that they recorded together during her Gazelle sessions, and the boys voiced Judy Hopps’ younger brothers, a fun detail that made the night even more special.
When asked if they’d like to keep going with voice work, both brothers jumped in with enthusiasm.
“Yeah, tons,” Sasha said, while Milan added, “Of course. It was a great experience and I’m super excited.”
The family turned heads on the red carpet in coordinated purple looks, with Shakira in a long-sleeved turtleneck dress and her sons wearing matching purple suits and bow ties as they proudly took photos by her side.
This isn’t the first time Milan and Sasha have supported their mom at major events, but it is their first time working with her.
Earlier this year, the boys also joined Shakira at the 2025 Grammy Awards, walking hand in hand with her in matching silver tuxedos.
When she won Best Latin Pop Album, they wrapped her in hugs before she headed to the stage, where she shared, “I want to share this award with my kids, Milan and Sasha, who are here with me. I’m so proud of you guys, of your kind hearts.”
Her sons blew her kisses from the audience as she thanked them again, creating another family moment fans adored.
Now, with Zootopia 2 arriving in theaters on Nov. 26, Shakira’s latest project comes with an extra joy, the chance to watch her boys shine right beside her.
