Betty Harford, best known for her performance in Dynasty and The Paper Chase, has passed away at the age of 98.
Her friend Wendy Mitchell revealed that Betty breathed her last on November 2, the late actress’ son confirmed the upsetting news.
Last week a Facebook post was shared by a fan asking about the veteran actress’ whereabouts or an update, "She is 98 and lives in California as Betty Naszody! Its been 6 years since I last heard from her?"
Mitchell then commented under the query, writing, "Betty’s son contacted me this morning and Betty Harford Naszody passed away peacefully with family at her side, noon on November 2, 2025, she was 98."
Betty was famous for her role as the secretary for law school professor Charles W. Kingsfield on the CBS drama The Paper Chase.
She played Ms. Nottingham for 41 episodes of the series, which ran for one season from 1978 to 1979 on CBS.
Later Betty, who died just two months before her 99th birthday, played the recurring role of cook Hilda Gunnerson from 1981 to 1989 in Dynasty.
She appeared in 34 episodes of the soap opera during its first eight seasons. She also reprised her character for the 1991 reunion miniseries, Dynasty: The Reunion.
Betty is survived by her son Chris, from her first marriage with Oliver Andrews, and her grandsons. She remarried Hungarian actor Alex de Naszody until his death.
