Kiera Knightley shares creative hack for tackling dyslexia

Keira Knightly got candid about how she manages to read and learn lines for a new project given her dyslexia.

During her appearance atThe Graham Norton Show, the Pride and Prejudice actress shared how she copes with learning difficulty in order to understand her scripts.

"I draw a lot, anyway. I am dyslexic, so I find learning lines quite difficult," she said.

Knightley, who is promoting her new children’s book, I Love You Just the Same, also revealed her artistic side, admitting that all the drawings and illustrations were done by her.

She added that she listens to a recording of her lines on repeat while doing artwork.

"When I'm listening to them, I'm drawing the whole time," she said. "I think they have to be quite detailed, otherwise the lines don't go in my head. Normally, and I don't know why, but I'm drawing pictures of old men with wrinkles."

Speaking about her time doing season one of Black Dove, Knightley revealed that she make similar drawings to help memorise her lines.

She added that the children's book marks "the first time that I've had to do something not old men with wrinkles and it had to be something other."
