MARDAN: The police registered a case against the assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and a constable for allegedly firing on a 16-year-old youth and injuring him, police sources said.

Sources added that Musa Khan, son of Anwar Zada, a resident of Guli Bagh, told police that he was returning home after having tea at a hotel in the limits of City Police Station when ASI Sajjad Ali and constable Farhad Ali shouted at him to stop. He said that he stopped the motorcycle but alleged that the cops started firing on him.

As a result, he sustained injuries. The City Police Station officials on the complaint of Musa Khan registered the first information report (FIR) against ASI and constable. Musa Khan is nephew of former district naib nazim and Pakistan People’s Party leader Asad Ali Kashmiri. However, sources added that ASI Sajjad Khan blamed SHO City for mishandling the case.
