CB Peshawar organises ‘Cycle Race 2025’

PESHAWAR: The Cantonment Board Peshawar (CBP) organized the CBP Cycle Race to mark Youm-e-Tashakkur.This event, held under the patronage of the Military Lands & Cantonments Department, aimed at fostering unity, promoting healthy living, and paying tribute to the valiant armed forces of Pakistan.

The cycle race witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 children from Peshawar Cantonment, students of CB Schools, and CBP employees. Participants competed in two categories: Category A for children up to 10 years of age, and Category B for those aged 11 to 17 years. Station Commander Peshawar, Brigadier Omer Saeed, graced the occasion as the chief guest, commending the participants for their spirit and dedication.

The event provided a platform for young individuals to engage in positive and healthy activities, reinforcing values of discipline, perseverance, and community well-being. Winners were awarded cash prizes and medals, while all participants received certificates acknowledging their enthusiastic involvement.

Cantonment Board Peshawar CEO Ch Baber Hussain reiterated CBP’s commitment to organizing such events that contribute to the health and happiness of the community.This initiative was part of a broader effort to commemorate the historic victory of Operation Bunyan-um- Marsoos and to honor the sacrifices of soldiers and martyrs who devoted their lives to the nation. Across Pakistan, Youm-e-Tashakkur was observed with various events, including a 31-gun salute in Islamabad and 21-gun salutes in provincial capitals, and display of hoardings and billboards commending the success of operation Marka-e-Haq, reflecting the nation’s gratitude and unity.
