ISLAMABAD: Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Abual Hasnat Zulqarnain has remanded arrested PTI MPA Ali Shah to police custody for three more days in three cases.

During the hearing on Saturday, after the physical remand was completed, the police presented Ali Shah in court and requested further physical remand. Defence lawyer Sardar Masroof Khan opposed further physical remand and said that judicial remand was being done after five days of remand, but it turned out that there were other cases as well.

During the hearing, Ali Shah said, “I went shopping in Aabpara and six to seven people picked me up. At 2:30 am, they said that you are wanted in such and such a case. I swear to God I have never fired a pistol, and now my eyesight is also weak.” The prosecutor said that more things had to be recovered from the accused. The prosecutor requested further remand, and the court granted a 3-day physical remand for Ali Shah, who faces three cases related to the November 26 protest.

In another case, ATC Judge Abual Hasnat Zulqarnain issued notices on the bail application of 52 PTI workers arrested on November 26 and ordered all workers to be sent to jail on judicial remand.

The arrested workers were produced in court after their 4-day physical remand. The police requested further physical remand of the workers.
