PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Nisar Baz on Saturday filed a writ petition in the Peshawar High Court (PHC against the ‘discriminatory’ treatment in the distribution of development funds to opposition parties.
The petition was filed through Sultan Muhammad Khan advocate while the provincial government and other relevant authorities had been made as respondents.
He argued that the opposition parties had already challenged the unfair distribution of funds in the high court, and since he is an elected representative from Bajaur’s PK-22 constituency, he should also be included in the case.
He claims that the provincial government was deliberately ignoring him in the allocation of funds due to his affiliation with the opposition, which ultimately affects the people of his constituency. He said that he would fight both politically and legally to secure the rights of his constituents.
The opposition lawmakers have already challenged the alleged discriminatory fund distribution by the provincial government in the PHC, where the case remains under hearing.
