PESHAWAR: US Consul General Shante Moore on Tuesday said that his country was keen to further strengthen commercial relations and partnership with Pakistan.
Speaking during his visit to the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he especially mentioned that the US was proactively working for socio-economic development and prosperity of merged districts through launch of joint collaboration and various projects.
The US diplomat vowed to continue collaboration with SCCI to strengthen mutual trade and economic relations by bringing business communities of the both countries closer to each other and initiating joint ventures.
SCCI president Fazal Moqeem Khan, speaking on the occasion, stressed the need for establishment of business to business contacts to enhance bilateral trade economic relations between Pakistan and US.
Moqeem said, “KP is a lucrative destination for foreign investment.”He said KP province has been blessed with an abundance of oil, gas, hydel power generation and mineral resources and invited American companies to invest in these potentials through joint ventures.
The SCCI chief called upon US companies to make investment in hydel power generation, oil, gas, mining, honey, marble, furniture and other potential sectors of KP that will help to strengthen the bilateral economic and commercial relations between the countries.
