PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday disposed of a writ petition filed by the brother and wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) social media in-charge Azhar Mashwani after the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) removed their names from the Exit Control List (ECL) and the Provisional National Identification List.
Two-member PHC bench comprising Justice SM Attique Shah and Justice Arshad Ali heard the petition.Syed Sikandar Shah and Ali Azeem appeared for the petitioners.Abdul Rahman, the legal director of the FIA, also turned up at the court.The lawyers for the petitioners told the court the FIA had placed the names of their clients on the ECL they could not travel abroad.
