Jewellery, cash taken away in house heist

LAHORE: Robbers took way cash, jewellery and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from a house in Valencia Town Society after taking house inmates hostage. Four robbers entered Gondal House in Valencia Town P1 Block and took women and children hostage at gunpoint and looted the house. An FIR has been registered by Khana police on the complaint of Afzal Mahmood. The incidents of thefts, robberies and motorcycle lifting have increased in Valencia Town, Khayaban-e-Amin, Defence Road and other societies within the boundaries of Chowki Haluki. Haluki Police have failed to stop increasing crimes.

Criminal arrested from UAE

Punjab Police conducted an operation and arrested another fugitive criminal who kidnapped and killed a citizen in Toba Tek Singh from the UAE and transferred him to Pakistan. According to the details, proclaimed offender Nadeem Ashraf killed a citizen in Pir Mahal police station, district Toba Tek Singh in 2022. The criminal later went into hiding and fled abroad. He was traced in UAE, red notice was issued from Interpol and after completing the legal proceedings, he was extradited to Pakistan. The total number of proclaimed offenders and fugitives arrested from abroad this year has reached 30.

CCPO chairs performance review meeting

CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana presided over performance review meeting of Iqbal Town and Saddar Divisions at the Capital City Police Headquarters on Tuesday. The meeting reviewed various professional matters, including the performance, law and order, crime control, and public service delivery of both divisions.

Kamyana reiterated the resolve to eradicate drug trafficking and directed to apprehend criminals, including thieves, dacoits, drug dealers, and proclaimed offenders and further directed to enforce strict measures against criminals. CCPO Lahore instructed supervisory officers to improve performance through hard work, dedication, and commitment to public service. He emphasized that police employment is not just a job but a lifestyle based on public service.
