Litigants agree to withdraw cases

PESHAWAR: Litigants have agreed to withdraw cases filed against each other after reaching a compromise. Saadatur Rahman Advocate and Sadeed Khan had entered into a series of litigations after the latter published a statement against the former in the June 23, 2014 issue of Daily The News International.

Saadatur Rahman was accused of working as a notary public till May 29, 2014, despite that his license had expired on February 24, of the same year. The litigations were fixed for a hearing by the Mingora Bench (Swat) of the Peshawar High Court.

After hearing the case, the honourable court offered both parties to enter into a compromise. The offer was accepted. Sadeed Khan later opined that the alleged defamatory statement originated based on a misunderstanding and apologized to Saadatur Rahman Advocate.Both parties had agreed to take back all cases and claims filed against each other at all forums. They resolved to respect each other.
