PESHAWAR: The Frontier Foundation Hematology Services is providing free treatment to over 4,000 patients suffering from thalassemia, haemophilia and other blood-related disorders in its health facility.
A meeting presided over by Frontier Foundation Chairman Sahibzada Muhammad Haleem and attended by all staff members deliberated upon the rising number of patients, heavy costs of free treatment and discussed ways and means for tackling the patients of thalassemia, haemophilia and other blood-related disorders, said a press release on Monday.
Dr Fakhar Zaman, administrator of the Frontier Foundation told the participants that over 4,000 patients were receiving free treatment at the Frontier Foundation Hospital.He said that the cost incurred on the provision of free treatment had exceeded the mark of Rs700 million, which had now become a herculean task for the Foundation to arrange it single-handedly.
