Currency & cell phones seized

LANDIKOTAL: The Torkham Customs foiled a bid to smuggle mobile cell phones and foreign currency, officials said on Tuesday.

Assistant Collector Torkham Customs Appraisement Fariha Naqvi told The News the officials recovered 0.1 million Saudi riyal from an Afghanistan-bounded truck at the Torkham border crossing.

She said drivers of the truck identified as Rahimullah and Muhammad Rahim were arrested.
