HARIPUR: The Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) on Tuesday announced its candidates for the coming general election for Haripur and vowed not to enter into electoral alliance with any religious or political party.
Sharing the names of the candidate, the provincial president Pakistan Markazi Muslim League, Dr Abdul Mateen, said that as per the decision of the central committee, he would contest from NA-18 constituency.
Atiqur Rehman Chohan has been nominated as PMML’s candidate for two provincial assembly’s seats of PK 46 and PK-48.
He said that the name of the candidate for the third provincial assembly seat, PK-47, was under consideration and would be announced within the next few days. Sharing the manifesto of his party, Dr Abdul Mateen said that the objective resolution and Islam were the guiding principles his party would seek to draw strength for ensuring rule of law and good governance in the country.
He said that the failure of the system, especially the economic policies in the past was the direct outcome of deviation from the Islamic ideology.
