According to Assistant Commissioner Shakil Khan, former Member National Assembly was charged with ransacking and torching the Toll Plaza on Swat Expressway on May 9. He had obtained bail before arrest from the court.

However, the official said the ATC cancelled his BBA and ordered the Levies force to arrest him.

Subsequently, he was arrested from the court promises and later shifted to Levies Line. The official said that the former MNA would be produced in the court today to seek his physical remand.

A large number of PTI local workers and activists were present on the occasion but no untoward incident occurred due to the presence of a heavy contingent of Levies personnel.
