MULTAN: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Multan Bench dismissed the writ petition of ex-chief minister Punjab Usman Buzdar filed against Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on the grounds of non-appearance of his counsel here on Wednesday, lawyers said.
The bench judge Mr Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar dismissed Buzdar’s plea challenging the ACE proceedings against him.Usman Buzdar had filed his petition through his counsel Mian Ali Ishfaq, stating that ACE was harassing the petitioner and issued notices numbers 200/23, 118/23, 224/23 and 225/23. The petitioner prayed the court to order the ACE not to harass him until the decision of the petition. The petitioner made parties to the ACE director general, Dera Ghazi Khan, regional director and deputy director ACE Dera Ghazi Khan. The ACE submitted a para-wise reply in the case registered on June 18, 2022.
