International Day against Drug Abuse observed

FAISALABAD: The District Anti-Narcotics Control Committee organised a walk to observe the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking here on Sunday.
The walk started from the district council and culminated at Clock Tower Chowk after passing through Khaliq Qureshi Road, Circular Road and Kutchery Bazaar. It was led by Assistant Commissioner (City) Bilawal Abro and Director Excise and Taxation Ahmad Saeed. The participants were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogan against narcotics.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Bilawal Abro said that narcotics was a curse, which was ruining the youngsters. He said that the society should come forward to wage a war against the menace. He said that the objective of observing the day was to renew the pledge against narcotics. Director Excise and Taxation Ahmad Saeed and others also spoke.
