KP Assembly condemns execution of JI leader in BD
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Wednesday passed a resolution to condemn the execution of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Motiur Rahman Nizami in Bangladesh.
It asked the federal government to take up this issue at diplomatic level and at international forums as the JI Bangladesh leaders were punished for supporting Pakistan.Senior Minister Inayatullah Khan presented the resolution. Except Syed Jaffar Shah of the ANP, all the members supported the resolution.
Earlier, provincial Minister for Sports, Culture and Museums Mehmood Khan rejected an inquiry by the Anti-Corruption Establishment about missing of precious coins and antiques from the Peshawar Museum.He said the inquiry was conducted on the complaint of a disgruntled female trainee. He assured the House about the security of original items and coins at the museum.
He responded to a call attention notice moved by PPP MPA Nighat Yasmin Orakzai based on some media reports about missing of precious coins and antiques from the Peshawar Museum.In a response to another call attention notice, Senior Minister Inayatullah Khan told the House that the services of Special Force in Police department would not be abolished in the next financial year.
