After making his debut in Bollywood with Khoobsurat (opposite Sonam Kapoor) and bagging his first Filmfare award, Fawad Khan is back with his second Bollywood project: the much-talked about Karan Johar production, Kapoor & Sons. The first official poster of the film made its way across the interwebs yesterday and from the looks of it, it is a colorful party. Fawad looks every bit as confident as his co-stars Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. With balloons and a trumpet, Kapoor & Sons looks like a fun, frothy affair.
In the film, Fawad Khan and Siddharth Malhotra play brothers while Rishi Kapoor essays the role of their grandfather. Fawad will play the role of a writer in the film and yes, he will be singing a song. Slated to hit theatres on March 18, the film’s first official trailer is set to release next week (on February 10).
2016 will be a big year for Fawad with several projects in the pipeline including a biopic on Alamgir, the reimagining of Maula Jutt by Bilal Lashari, and a special role in Karan Johar’s intense love drama, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. But for now, one will just have to make do with this colorful poster.
