Former IPL chief names three players involved in match fixing

NEW DELHI: Former Indian Premier League Commissioner Lalit Modi has claimed two leading Indian and one West Indian cricketer were bribed by an Indian real estate tycoon.

According to Indian media reports, Modi has tweeted a letter which he claims to have written to International Cricket Council (ICC) CEO Dave Richardson in 2013.

Modi told Richardson names of the three players through the letter and added that he could pass the information to the anti-corruption and security unit of the ICC.

He said the three players were in close contact with the real estate tycoon who was also named in the letter.

According to reports, of the three players, two are all-rounders in the Indian national team, while the third is a popular all-rounder from the West Indies. They all belong to the same IPL franchise.
