Cristiano Ronaldo's legacy is alive in Premier League because of this player
Al-Nassr player's popular celebration style still thrives in Premier League
Cristiano Ronaldo’s era is finished in the Premier League, however, his legacy is still alive through Alejandro Garnacho.
The Argentine starlet occasionally brings out the "Siu" celebration after scoring goals and plays in CR7’s preferred left flank, according to Essentially Sports.
Cristiano Ronaldo remains an idol and the "Greatest of all time" for Garnacho and that is why it is no surprise that he mimics the celebrations.
But, how does Ronaldo feel bout Garnacho emulating the "Siu"?
This has been revealed by Manchester United star Diogo Dalot’s interesting anecdote.
Dalot revealed an incident during Manchester United’s 2022 Europa League campaign on the Cronache di Spogliatoio podcast.
Dalot said: "Before a game against Real Sociedad, Garnacho went to Cristiano Ronaldo to ask if he could celebrate like him when he scored a goal."
He explained: "Cristiano turned around, tapped me on the shoulder, and said, ‘Did you hear that? He wants to celebrate like me! Shall we say yes?'"
As Garnacho scored his first senior goal against Real Sociedad, the youngster’s dream came true. Poetically, it was assisted by none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.
An ecstatic Garnacho went out and performed CR7’s celebration as planned. Astonishingly, it was not the iconic "Siu" but rather Ronaldo’s “nap” celebration.
