The attitude of the Sindh government towards schoolteachers is horrible. They have been beaten, bruised and made to bleed. Peaceful protest for legal demands is the democratic right of citizens. Good governments hear out their citizens instead of suppressing and oppressing them. Right now there is not a single provincial government in the country that is treating its citizens with dignity and respect and people are brutally put down when they try to voice demands. This is a sign of political immaturity on the part of those who are ruling us. But they should remember they are not a monarchy; they are the representatives of people who have elected them. Schoolteachers must be listened to and their demands met with consideration.
