Russia praises Operation Zarb-e-Azb
COAS meets chairman State Duma

RAWALPINDI: The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif, who is on an official visit to Russia, called on chairman State Duma of the Russian Federation in Moscow on Wednesday.
The chairman State Duma appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for stability in the region and the ongoing military Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists and extremists across the country, DG ISPR Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa tweeted on social media.
The chairman said that his country will stand by Pakistan in its fight against terrorism and extremism for stability in the region. “Our relations are independent, more consistent and will further grow,” he added.
Both sides who are keen on collaboration discussed ways to enhance cooperation and more military exchanges to benefit from each other’s combat experience.The COAS spent June 16 witnessing dynamic defence expo. There was a highly impressive display of all types of arms, aircraft and helicopters.
