James Bond hunt officially kicks off
The update about 'James Bond' comes months after wild speculation
At last, the audition for the next James Bond has officially started after months of wild speculations.
Nina Gold, best known for casting several big roles, has been tapped to find the next 007 agent.
In a statement, Amazon MGM Studios said, “The search for the next James Bond is underway."
"While we don’t plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right.”
According to Variety, enlisting Gold to find a new Bond makes sense.
She has a stacked résumé: from Game of Thrones to casting Daisy Ridley as Rey in Star Wars.
In addition, she was nominated for an Oscar for her casting work in 2025's Hamnet.
Despite the official confirmation, the rumour mill for who is going to be the next Bond is far from slowing down.
For months, fans of the spy-thriller franchise threw several names into the mix, expecting they might end up bagging the role.
From Jacob Elordi to Callum Turner and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Yet, none of them is confirmed.
Back to the movie, Denis Villeneuve will direct, and Amy Pascal and David Heyman will produce, while Steven Knight will write the script.
