Imran, Buzdar be held accountable for sugar, wheat crises: Marriyum
LAHORE: PML-N Central Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb said Prime Minister Imran Khan could only claim self-accountability when he presents himself and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar for their alleged involvement in the wheat and sugar crises.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Marriyum said the ‘sugar and flour theft’ had been committed with the signatures of prime minister and Punjab chief minister and they must be held accoutable. “Prime minister should immediately resign if he wants to set an example,” she said, adding that Imran had proved it with his actions that he was above law in the country.
“If sugar mills owners offer you gifts of houses and cars and run expenses of party, kitchen and ‘dharnas’, then what is the need for you to set up sugar mills of your own,” she asked Imran, saying that IK’s entire lifestyle depends on others’ expenses.
