eaturing Saif Samejo and The Sketches, with guitars by Kashan Admani and lyrical content by original lead vocalist from Volume I (Shaheryar ‘Sherry’ Raza), ‘Rang Badaltay Dekhey Hain’ had been released on various social media platforms of Chand Tara Orchestra.

‘Rang Badaltay Dekhey Hain’ is keeping in line with the spirit of CTO’s debut album and is meant to be an homage to the patron saint of Karachi: Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi.

Given the respect with which The Sketches as well as Chand Tara Orchestra approach sacred roots in music, it is a thoughtful collaboration.

‘Rang Badaltay Dekhey Hain’ has a soulful framework. It is also great to see such a collaboration, an iteration of the group without malice, not conscious or unconscious. Samejo and The Sketches are capable of creating songs that are full of soul, heart and a richness that showcases diversity and remembers what is sacred. In that sense, they have done just that.

The spirit of Chand Tara Orchestra in its original line-up, also feels embedded within the song if you look for it and give it a chance just once. It is an ode [that’s more than allegory]; it is based on the power of faith.
