‘EU supports Pakistan in promoting interfaith harmony’
EU Ambassador to Pakistan Androulla Kaminara has said that the European Union has been supporting Pakistan in its efforts to promote interfaith harmony and tolerance because it is imperative and a way forward for a better social and prosperous society.
She expressed these views during her recent meeting with Allama Muhammad Ahsan Siddiqui, head of the Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony, an NGO that works on the promotion of interfaith harmony.
Siddiqui informed Kaminara about the ICPH’s ongoing activities for interfaith and peacebuilding and discussed other themes, including religious freedom, girls’ education and climate change, and COP26. Dilarde Teilne (first secretary of the EU), and l Zeeshan Altaf Loya, deputy governor Sindh and Balochistan Rotary International, were also present.
