9,112 violations of Kite Flying Act Our correspondent

LAHORE : Lahore police registered 9,112 cases against people for violating the Kite Flying Act during the current year.

Police arrested 9,214 accused on charges of kite flying, kite selling and manufacturing and recovered 60,000 kites and more than 10,000 spinning wheels from their possession. CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar said that people involved in kite flying, kite selling and kite are being caught and drone cameras are also being used to prevent kite flying.

DOLPHINS, PRU WINGS QUICK RESPONSE: Dolphins and PRU wings showed immediate response to the all 208 calls received on helpline 15 during the last week.

Dolphin Squad and PRU checked more than 309,000 bikes, 372 vehicles and more than 3 lac persons. As many as 1389 bikes and 11 vehicles were impounded and 411 persons were arrested due to incomplete documents. Dolphin Squad and PRU arrested 38 persons for violating Kite Flying Act, 5 on charge of one wheeling and four persons on charge of aerial firing.
