CIA Police busts gang of house burglars

Islamabad: Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has busted a house burglars gang and recovered, snatched gold ornaments, mobile phones, HD box, and wristwatches from their possession, the police spokesman said.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan had ordered a crackdown against criminals specially involved in street crimes. Following these orders DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed has directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city and no laxity would be tolerated in that regard.

Following these directions, SP (investigation) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer constituted special teams under supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including Sub-Inspector Tariq Rauf, ASIs Fawad Khalid, Zulfiqar Ali, Aamir Hayat along with other officials who have successfully busted 03 members of house burglars identified as Muhammad Aslam, a resident of district Okara, Ghulam Mustafa s/o Muhammad Yaseen resident of District Okara, Arshad Ali s/o Akber Ali resident of District Faisalabad and Muhammad Irfan s/o Muhammad Ameen resident of district Faisalabad. The police team has also recovered snatched Gold ornaments, mobile phones, HD box, wristwatches from their possession,

The nabbed persons, during the preliminary investigation, have confessed of their involvement in several incidents in areas of Koral and Shalimar police stations and further investigation is underway from them.

Cases have been registered against them in Shalimar, Koral, and Industrial-Area and further investigation is underway.
