ANP submits motion in KP Assembly for inquiry into flour crisis
PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) has submitted an adjournment motion in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, demanding an inquiry into the flour crisis in the province and country.
ANP lawmaker Shagufta Malik submitted the motion in the secretariat of the KP Assembly, seeking clarification from the Food Department over the flour crisis. In her motion, the ANP lawmaker asked the Food Department how much quantity of wheat had been exported and why. She also demanded answer from the department as to why the commodity was being imported on an exorbitant price now. She has demanded exposing the individuals involved in creating the flour crisis and initiation of action against them. She said the masses were suffering due to this decision and the accused in the matter must be brought to justice.
