Iranian films screened at IAF-19
Islamabad Art Festival 19 and Embassy of Iran have collaborated with the best contemporary screen gems.
Some of the titles offered from Iran included: Season of Narges (Fasle Narges), Zero Platform (Safar ta Saku), We Have Guests (Ma Meehman Dareem), Sweetheart (Dilbari), Raana Silence (Sokute Raana) and Mermaid (Pari Daryani).
The challenges brought on screen by filmmakers here are commendable and well appreciated by the Islamabad moviegoers. The themes here are rich, thought-provoking and entertaining. Three women with their own stories (Season of Narges), different attitudes of parents reaching to a point where the children begin to fear from the selfish world around them, and, then one must now overcome this fear (Sweetheart) and truth coming out when a son is brought back from the hospital (We Have Guests).
