ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has swung into action and started probe into awarding of LNG terminal contract.
Two days back, say the top officials privy to the development, NAB convened a meeting of the officials from Sui Southern, Sui Northern, Inter-State Gas Company and Elengy Terminal Pakistan Limited in Karachi and asked for the required documents pertaining to the process of awarding the LNG terminal contract starting from tendering to the procurement stage.
The probing team has been asked to furnish its report by the end of August.
“We have sent a questionnaire comprising 26 questions to Sui Southern seeking the relevant information,” a top official in NAB told The News.
The Sui Southern has deposited its reply to NAB’s questionnaire and submitted the details of LNG services agreement with LNG terminal operator. It says it has nothing to do with the tendering process.
