In 2015 , the Paris Agreement was signed; the agreement pledged to reduce global warming to below 2 degrees celsius. However, the world is unable to achieve the target yet. Sea levels have risen between 0.4 celcius and 0.5° celsius. Apart from this, global temperature has increased.
The Global Environment Outlook (GEO), which was conducted by 250 scientists of 70 nations, has stated that 25 percent of deaths in the world are attributable to poor environmental conditions. The committee has predicted further hazardous results of global warming. Despite the fact that Pakistan contributes a small part to global warming , it is among the ten most vulnerable countries. In this regard, it is high time the world stood against such an attitude towards something so serious. The world should implement the Paris Agreement so that our lives can be saved.
