Renewable energy sector joins hands with NAVTTC
Islamabad: The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), Renewable Energy Association of Pakistan, Solar Quality Foundation and various private sector enterprises from the renewable energy sectors have joined hands to establish an industry-led Sector Skills Council (SSC) for the Renewable Energy Sector.
Both the industry and NAVTTC expressed resolve to work together during a meeting, which was held to share the international best practice of Sector Skills Council (SSC).The partnership will pave way for providing the skilled human resource to the industry according to the industry’s demand.
The industry associations and NAVTTC showed their interest to extend their collaboration through the signing of a memorandum of understanding on March 21, 2019, for establishing the Sector Skills Council for the renewable energy sector.
The establishment of SSC in Renewable Energy will increase cooperation and collaboration between public-private sectors on matters related to setting skills standards, identifying occupational gaps, job placement, apprenticeship, teachers/instructors training, and on-the-job training.
