LAHORE: Economic turnaround has converted Pakistan into a modest place for doing business but still it is an emerging market that has its own challenges, experts said on Thursday. At a seminar themed “International Business in Pakistan, Challenges & Successes”, which was organized by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), the experts said for success young entrepreneurs should have an eye on innovation and follow in the footsteps of those business groups which are successful despite lack of resources. LCCI President Ijaz A. Mumtaz said innovation holds the key to success for young entrepreneurs. They should have an eye on global patterns while doing their businesses. He said that there is no dearth of resources in the country but only thing that has kept it behind in a number of economic sectors is the unawareness about the latest business techniques and methodologies. CEO Telenor Pakistan Michael Patrick Foley said Telenor was launched in 2005 in Pakistan and has written new stories of success within a short spam of time. He said Telenor Pakistan aims to play a vital role in government’s efforts to promote e-inclusivity for all to foster socio-economic transformation of Pakistan.
