JuD, ASWJ activists ask govt to send troops to Saudi Arabia

PESHAWAR: The activists of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) Friday asked the government to send troops to Saudi Arabia forthwith to protect the holy places against possible aggression by the rebels in Yemen.
The JuD and ASWJ activists staged separate rallies outside the Peshawar Press Club.Led by Muhammad Iqbal, district president of the JuD, the activists chanted slogans in support of their demand.
The protesters condemned the Houthi rebels in Yemen. They said that the threat of the rebellious tribe to hit the holy cities and firing missiles into Saudi Arabia was tantamount to attacking the entire Muslim world, including Pakistan.
They urged the government to sent troops to Saudi Arab. “We will support the government and the army in this noble cause,” said one of the speakers.They said that the people of Pakistan were standing firm in support of their Saudi brethren.
Our correspondent adds from Mansehra: The local traders and activists of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat have taken out a rally in support of Saudi Arabi-led air strike against Houthis and asked governments to dispatch army to safeguard Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
