Treatment centres
December 18, 2017
AIDS is a fatal disease and doctors have constantly advised people to take preventive measures in this respect. It is, therefore, befitting to note that the Punjab AIDS Control Programme plans to open a new centre for HIV/AIDS patients at Jalalpur Jattan. This will ensure that treatment is available across the province to a large number of people.
Preparations for this new centre are in the final stages. Steps are also being taken to ensure that an ample stock of antiretroviral medicines is available at all centres. These efforts should be lauded as they provide a valuable means of treating HIV/AIDS.
