Man arrested over hundi

LAHORE: An FIA team in a raid in Gulberg area on Thursday arrested a man involved in illegal business of hundi-hawala.

According to FIA Deputy Director Jameel Ahmed, the FIA team arrested Watan Badshah from 2nd floor of Hassan Centre and recovered Rs 45,000, receipts/ledgers regarding hundi/hawala, visiting cards, etc. from his possession.

suicide: A 35-year-old woman committed suicide over domestic dispute in the Sherakot police area on Thursday. Police said Fauzia got dejected over domestic dispute and swallowed poisonous pills. As a result, her condition went critical. She was rushed to hospital where she died. The body has been removed to morgue. Further investigations are underway.

found dead: Two men were found dead in different parts of the city on Thursday. A 66-year-old man, identified as Nadeem Iqbal, was found dead in the Baghbanpura area.

A police official said autopsy would help ascertain the cause of his death. A 60-year-old man, identified as Syed Aftab, was found dead in the Moghalpura area. Police removed the body to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigation is underway. Both bodies have been removed to morgue.

Security: SP Security Ammara Athar has directed the administration of shrines to complete installation of CCTV cameras besides implementing all SOPs issued for security purpose. The SP held a meeting with the administration on Thursday and discussed the security situation with them.
