KARACHI: The training camp for goalkeepers, set up by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), will begin at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium on Sunday (today). Olympian Nasir Ahmed will train a group of 10 goalkeepers in the camp.
Nasir, when contacted by ‘The News’ on Saturday, said that the goalkeepers have started reporting. He added that Pakistan’s leading goalkeepers, including those playing in Pakistan senior and junior teams, have been called to attend the training camp.
“There will be two sessions, morning and evening, during the camp. The goalkeepers’ technique will be tuned and their weaknesses will be worked on,” said Nasir.
He added that the camp will continue for 15 days before the two leading goalkeepers are selected to join the national senior hockey team’s training camp.
