PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah has directed the implementation of the “Open-Door Policy” in all districts of the province, emphasizing that deputy commissioners must ensure full implementation.

In an official communique, the chief secretary stated that the initiative aims to strengthen direct communication between citizens and district administrations, enabling the public to raise their concerns and grievances without barriers or delays and to ensure their prompt redressal.

The chief secretary underscored that good governance begins with the timely resolution of citizens’ basic issues. He said the provincial administration firmly believes that transparent, accessible, and people-centered governance forms the foundation of effective service delivery.

Shahab Ali Shah instructed all deputy commissioners to allocate specific hours daily for public meetings, allowing citizens to directly present their problems to the district administration and receive swift responses.
