Women-led entrepreneurship highlighted
PESHAWAR: Women-led entrepreneurship and innovation was highlighted as the 3rd Edition of the Dosti Women Literature Festival saw a stall inauguration ceremony in the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University on Wednesday.
Shazia Atta, Secretary of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Commission on the Status of Women, inaugurated the stalls.
She lauded the collaboration between Dosti Welfare Organization and the university for promoting women’s economic empowerment. The festival showcased a variety of startups and entrepreneurial ventures, featuring creative products and services by women entrepreneurs.
In addition to the stalls, participants had access to workshops, mentorship sessions, and networking opportunities designed to support growth and sustainability.Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Safia Ahmed appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and acknowledged the contributions of the venue in-charges Atif Khan, Sobia Karamat, Wajeeha, and Hina Bahadur along with chief organizers Tashfeen Zia and Dr Hamida Bibi.The ceremony echoed the festival’s theme, “New Hope,” celebrating women’s creativity, resilience, and contribution to Pakistan’s socio-economic progress.
